Analysis, Storyboards & Job Aids

This document outlines the analysis and design plan for a leadership competency course. It includes the course purpose, proposed learning objectives, course outline, milestone timeline, instructional strategy, delivery methods, learner/audience profile, roles, responsibilities, and budget. This collaborative tool is a design blueprint between the project sponsor, stakeholder, and instructional designer. 


This analysis report contains the Training Needs Analysis outcomes, including the current performance, desired business outcomes, gap analysis, and training priorities. It also includes the subordinate skills analysis, audience, performance, and learning context analysis for a leadership competency course. Additional information in this report are proposed objectives, assessment instruments, and instructional strategy for the learning solution.


This job aid outlines the leadership competency model and is a learner reference tool. Two versions are included: a full-color electronic reference tool and a printer-friendly version for print.


This storyboard provides a general outline for developing the leadership competency course, including learning objectives, sequential frames, narrative/script, visuals, interactivity, navigation, assessment details, transitions/effects, and additional notes for development. This tool facilitates effective collaboration and alignment among stakeholders, ensuring the learning content is accurate, meets its objectives, and engages learners optimally.

Instructor-Led Training: Temporal Contiguity

This course was developed as part of a continuing education presentation for an instructional design team. Most of the audience has limited to no knowledge of Mayer’s Multimedia Learning Principles. This course follows 2 overview sessions, outlining all of Richard Mayer’s multimedia learning theories and principles. It contains the facilitator guide in the notes section of each slide.
